All About the Angelfire Template Page Error

When you work on the basic index.html page from Angelfire the template page has an extensive jave script which posts endless copies of the Angelfire advertising as a background to the page, causing excessive CPU use on the receiving computer, at best, and crashing some older browsers (and their computers), at worst.

The BEGINNING of this block of script is CLEARLY marked on the Templete page was follows:

<!-- ************************************************************* -->
<!-- * START ANGELFIRE AD CODE - PLEASE REMOVE WHEN EDITING PAGE * -->
<!-- ************************************************************* -->

and the END of the block of code is CLEARLY marked on the Templete page was follows:

<!-- *********************************************************** -->
<!-- * END ANGELFIRE AD CODE - PLEASE REMOVE WHEN EDITING PAGE * -->
<!-- *********************************************************** -->

So, with the template page in your text editor, highlight the block at the first <!-- mark and then scroll down to the last --> mark and DELETE THE ENTIRE BLOCK. That is, the beginning and end blocks and all the JAVA script stuff that looks like some foreign language in between! Then save the template and proceed to make your web page.

The purpose of the Angelfire script is to provide advertising popups.
